At UMMC, their goal is to provide the highest quality of care in a safe and supportive setting. They say on their website that it is their privilege to care. I love that. It is necessary for the employees at UMMC to make sure that their patients are comfortable, calm, and safe. With a statement like “It is our privilege to care,” they are achieving their goal.
Not only was the delivery floor renovated, but the mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) systems were updated to ensure better care for the 80% of pregnancies in Baltimore. But, don’t worry, while certain elements were being switched out and changed up, there were temporary services put in place to guarantee continuous care during this renovation.
