Thames Street Wharf
Thames Street Wharf is a beautiful building located in the Inner Harbor of Downtown Baltimore. It is an eight-story corporate office building that is fully occupied with tenants. The floor to ceiling glass windows leave nothing to be desired as far as a view is concerned, and at night when it is all lit up, boy does that building shine!
However, I would like to talk about our use of people and why we think it is so important to have human beings in our architectural images. From one human to another, it is easy to see a picture of a building or office space and think, “Wow, that was creatively designed.” or “I love the sleek finishes on every surface.”
But, when you add the element of human beings in the image, it all of a sudden becomes a story. If you were to look at this image of the conference room without anyone in it, you’d see an open space with a great view. But, when you see others holding a meeting in that room, you all of a sudden can see yourself in that room.
People change the dynamic of a space. They tell a story to which you, another human, can relate. That is why we like to use people in our photography whenever possible.
As a production company, we love to share our client’s stories through our photography and videography. If you would like to see more of our work, please visit our videography and photography portfolios.
