Nobu Restaurant - Washington DC
Chef Nobu Matsuhisa is a Japanese man who moved to Peru to open his first restaurant in 1973. It was during that time he created his Japanese food with a Peruvian flare! Before “Nobu” there was “Matsuhisa” which is the family-owned chain of restaurants that they opened 16 years before the first “Nobu” location.
Robert De Niro, yes the critically acclaimed actor, was a frequent customer of the first Matsuhisa restaurant and invited Chef Nobu to open up a restaurant of his own in New York City! They found immediate success in the partnership with opening up the restaurant in the middle of an already saturated market for fine dining restaurants.
We were asked to provide the photography for this trendy restaurant! When I say fine dining, I mean it. Nobu is somewhere you will want to splurge! Currently, every location is only providing take-out due to COVID-19, but when it opens back up again, be sure to get dolled up and enjoy a wonderful experience at Nobu. And while you wait, be sure to pick up their cookbook and try out the recipes from the comfort of your own home!
As a production company, we love to share our client’s stories through our photography and videography. If you would like to see more of our work, please visit our videography and photography portfolios.
"Cooking is all about people. Food is maybe the only universal thing that really has the power to bring everyone together. No matter what culture, everywhere around the world, people eat together." - Guy Fieri
