Children’s National Hospital
Takoma Theater

This is a cool project! Our clients transformed the Takoma Theater in Washington, DC into Children’s National Hospital! The only way that you would know this used to be a theater is if you were standing outside. They decided to keep the marquee to give it that unique charm. But inside it looks like a modern hospital!

The original building was designed by Architect John Jacob Zink in the 1920s. It laid vacant for more than a decade until our client Rock Creek Property Group took on the restoration of the property! Working alongside the owners of Takoma Theater, Cunningham | Quill Architects, Silva Contracting, and Bialek were able to create something truly unique and admirable. It’s always exciting when you hear that a beautiful neighborhood landmark has been refurbished and is being used regularly!

As a production company, we love to share our client’s stories through our photography and videography. If you would like to see more of our work, please visit our videography and photography portfolios.

“I believe that in a great city, or even in a small city or a village, a great theatre is the outward and visible sign of an inward and probable culture.” ~Laurence Olivier
